Ward

Title
Houghton GV1763 .S73 1650 (The ‘Ward’ manuscript)
Date
1660 or later

Held at the Houghton Library, Harvard.

Known as the “Ward” manuscript due to being acquired via Professor John M. Ward at Harvard University.

The linked facsimile omits the page for the Garden of Eden – see below.

The library gives it an approximate date of 1650, but the penultimate dance, prior to the Garden of Eden (which appears to be added later by someone else), is the 29th of May, which is a reference to the return to London of Charles the second in 1660. While it's possible of course that the dances weren't all written down at the same time, it does make it likely that a date of 1650 is slightly too early.
