A1 | Slide left one couple and circle left ¾ (4) Two hands to partner and poussette around the other couple (4) |
A2 | Men/larks pass left shoulder for a full hey (8) |
B1 | Neighbour right shoulder round and swing |
B2 | Balance a ring of four (2) Men/larks take their partner to their own side and swing (6) |
The pousette is women/robins pushing to start, but there really is only one sensible way to go so I wouldn't normally bother saying that.
The “take” is as in a “give and take”: after the balance the ring, keep that hand tension with your partner as the man/lark draws the woman/robin back to their own side to swing.
The name came about because I was in Huddersfield when I came up with I think the third or so ending variant for this dance, due to Phillip Rowe starting a contra series there and asking me to call. It turned out to be a bit of a misnomer because the version I settled with wasn't actually that version but it seemed a nice name and it stuck.
